I think I'm going mad. I visited the plant sale at the academy on Wednesday, bought 5 tiny potted plants and I'm even thinking of naming them. Do you think I should've bought cactii instead? The cactii didn't really look friendly though.

1:30 pm, Just woke up!

It is Official: If you ever wonder why from now on, my blog entries will be posted at weird hours, it's because I've got my Internet connection in my dorm room! Finally. How cool is That! I know it's very sad of me, but what else do you do if you've got nothing to do at the weekend? Shucks.

I must tell you though, I went to the 'Jinnah' screening by the Pakistani Society yesterday.. and ermmmm.. it wasn't exactly a spectacular experience. I went with Heba, Sadaf, Samia.. Yeaaah SAMIA! If you thought you were sick of Samia(s) already and the world has had enough of them.. There's one MORE! (Not that she's anything like me, she's absolutely lovely.) She calls herself Sa-mee-ah though.. while I'm a Saa-mi-yah.

Life couldn't get better.

Ha ha ha.. guess what we did today, yeah us PAKIS, me, my friends Sadaf and Heba. We went to another university's freshers' fair and joined up with the Pakistani Students Society!! Yeah call us desperate, call us fobbies, but we really don't care. Them people are going to show Jinnah (the movie) on Thursday somewhere in the Students' union, and even though I've watched the movie I thought we should still go! And listen to this.. I'm even going to wear shalwar qameez<---[traditional Pakistani dress] to the screening. Ha ha.. how desperate can you get.

Hey Naaaaaaaaaaadia (my Luvly-iest sister) I miss you too and I hope you start to enjoy life at uni again! As for me, I'm thinking of going for a couple of movies this weekend, it's either going to be Minority Report (if I'm still lucky, since it was out ages ago), or the Bourne Identity or Signs! Yeaaaaaaah Signs is out and I'm going to watch it!

And my dearest Mumunee suggested that I should have some pics.. HMmMm.. maybe I should, you know. Watch this space next week ;)

It's not like I'm Anti-England or something, but life here surely stinks big time. And guess what, I could've stayed back in Dubai for another 3 whole days if only I knew that I had no classes this week! So that means, I'm basically doing nothing but (still) waiting for my Internet connection in my dorms.

And YEAH, (directed to a particular someone) I have totally & absolutely nothing better to do than typing out entries into my blog, moaning about how I miss Dubai, and waiting for my 'net connection. :p So there.

Off to dinner for now.

P.S. I HAVE to, absolutely have to, tell you about this. Someone at a Lebanese takeaway down the road thought I was Lebanese!!! I mean that 'made my day' (yeah, Nesha, it did make my day) because I think the females from Lebanon are fabulously attractive people! So here's the whole list (don't tell me I'm obsessed, coz I'm pretty much aware of that fact): I've been thought to be an Omani, a Malaysian and Lebanese now!! Woowwww! Even when I'm wearing my traditional pakistani dresses! Alright. I know. Enough of it.

I don't have an Internet connection. Yet. Do you know what it feels like? I mean do you know what it REALLY feels like when you're this geek addicted to the 'net and you don't have a connection in your dorms, when you're used to spending a whole 3 hours a day on the 'net?
I know Absolutely how it feels. It's like I'm off life support.

Alright here's something for you (and it's just because I'm suffering from a writer's block right now):

MY BROTHER ADOPTED a snake named Slinky, whose most disagreeable trait was eating live mice. Once I was pressed into going to the pet store to buy Slinky's dinner. The worst part of this wasn't choosing the juiciest-looking creatures or turning down the clerk who wanted to sell me vitamins to ensure their longevity. The hardest part was carrying the poor things out in a box bearing the words "Thank you for giving me a home."

I've never felt more special! I went to AUS today.. and met up with Tanzila, Danish, Fawaz, Imran, Hania, Ayesha, Uzma & her sis Farah, they were sooo Soooweeeet! The yummy-licious b'day cake was a surprise, but the even bigger surprise came when someone shoved it in my face (a total of 3 times, shucks)!

By the WAY.. I hope you guys enjoyed hearing me squealing my highest-pitched screams at that freaky ride at Sahara, especially Ayesha, I'm so sorry for damaging your eardrums. I'm never.. EVER.. going to trust you guys again. :P (And did I ever tell you I had a fear of heights?)

Oh and I Have to.. absolutely have to.. tell you what I got today (even though my birthday's tomorrow) I got a card from all of them which said My Best Friend on the cover *sniff*, a lovely bracelet from Danish, an exquisite heart-shaped pendant (Hania's choice) from all the people except for Ayesha & Uzma who gave me a trendy wallet I've so been wanting all these days! I love you all! You guys are the GREATEST! You make me miss AUS so much. *sniff sniff* And the next time when it's my birthday.. I just might take you to Burj Al Arab. (HAH!)

And a big Heeyoooj thanks to Munni, Guria & Family & Mumunee for the hilariously funny e-cards, and Talal for the sms (for the absolute gall to use someone else's cellphone in Luton) and to Heba for the weally weally big card you sent all the way from Rugby. Love you too!

If you're one of the few people on my MSN contacts list, and have seen my current nickname, you probably know that I'm going to be 'officially launching' (how corny can you get) this site tomorrow (or maybe earlier).

Plus.. as per a friend's suggestions.. *Geekiness Alert* I've made my site adaptable to 800x600 too in addition to 1024x768. If you don't know what I'm speaking about.. forget it. If you do know what I'm speaking about, this site looks much much MUCH better in 1024x768 and you better switch to this resolution permanently coz that's where the whole world is heading for and you don't want to be left too far behind.

And oh, Faiza.. if you're reading this, a big thanks for the forward you sent me which helped when I ran out of creativity while filling up the Queen Who page.

I went around to see my friend Razan today and had a look at her wedding pictures. Oh My! Other than the fact that she was looking absolutely beyootiful (mashaAllah), the way her wedding took place was soooo Cool! She got married in an old castle in Lebanon, and had the place done up with floral decorations. How Romantic. *Sigh*

I want to get married in a castle too!

Tweak a little here, a little there. If only I hadn't been my usual procrastinating self, this website probably would've been up 2 months ago. I wish I had a Guestbook!!!
